With the hand-held computer Symbol MC70 we present you the flagship of our Enterprise Digital Assistants (EDAs) product line from Motorola. This robust data collection terminal includes mobile phone, PDA, computer, scanner and imager all in one, designed for all areas of application of daily use. This compact light device offers a unique multi-mode through integration into wireless networks, high-quality transfer of languages and data, and up-to-date and high-quality data collection, all in one tool to boost productivity. The system, which can be integrated into any area of application and employed for all types of environments, is ideal for field work. Supply services and users in healthcare and laboratories appreciate the advantages of the multimedia-based terminal instantly.

 

The 624MHz Intel XScale processor and pre-installed 68MB RAM/ROM will always satisfy your customers' needs by offering sufficient resources for a professional realisation. Expandable via the SDIO slot, which can be accessed on the exterior and configured from a distance via the Mobility Service Platform from Symbol, the performance capacity of the MC70 always adapts to various requirements. The MC70 is designed to endure demanding use under harsh environmental and work conditions. It is suitable for a wide temperature range from -10° to 68° and flawlessly withstands multiple drops, as well as humidity, dust and much more. With regard to the entry level options, the user can benefit from the 8.9 cm (3.5'') touch screen (240x320 pixels), a numeric or QWERTY-keyboard, as well as from the optional 1D laser scanner or 2D imager. The glass surface of the analogue resistive touch screen guarantees a particularly high degree of scratch resistance.

 

A large number of possibilities for data transfer, such as WWAN/WLAN/WPAN, offer the user stable and cost-effective language and data transfers. For employees outside your client´s range of installation, the support for eGPRS networks (EDGE) offers global coverage and fast wireless data transfer for more complex applications. The wireless PAN-function via Bluetooth increases employee's productivity by connecting an optional BT-printer or further peripheral devices. Furthermore, the system is outstandingly well-protected due to encoding technology via WPA2, WEP and much more.
